Full Assurance

“Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith.” (Heb. 10:22)

“Since the love of God has shed priceless blessings on my head, I have made it my own; I will hide it in my heart, that it never may depart, it shall rule there alone. Since the Son of God came down, with His love our lives to crown, He with us would remain; greater love there could not be; Jesus died for you and me; in our hearts, He would reign.” (The Love of God, v1-2, Hymns for Worship)

Behold; the love of God! Our Father in heaven gave His Son so that our sins could be removed by his shed blood; if we would only believe and obey him. (John 3:16-17) And believe me we must; else we will die in our sins! God’s two fixed spiritual truths of Heb 6:18, speaks to the fact that God is true and faithful. Number one; His word is sure and always dependable. And number two; He swore with an oath when speaking to Abraham. So, yes; double full assurance!

What have we said thus far? Fanny J. Crosby said it best. “Perfect submission, all is at rest; I, in my Savior, am happy and blest; watching and waiting, looking above, filled with His goodness, lost in His love.”

Our perfect submission to Christ brings about perfect delight of peace from within; because Jesus dwells in our hearts. He dwells in our hearts because we are born of His Spirit and washed in His blood. (John 3:3-5) We have put him on; we have clothed ourselves with Christ; we are in Him; through faith; and have become sons of God. (Gal. 3:26-27) I, IN MY SAVIOR, am happy and blessed! Where are we happy and blessed? In Christ. All spiritual blessings are located IN Christ. (Eph. 1:3)

Our full assurance of God’s plan is the very foundation of our hope of Heaven. I am filled with His goodness and lost in His love; that’s why I am watching and waiting; looking above. (Col. 3:1-4)

“My citizenship is in heaven; from which also we eagerly wait for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble estate into conformity with the body of His glory…” (Phil. 3:20-21) “… We know that when He appears, we will be like Him; because we will see Him as He is.” (1 John 3:2)

Won’t you be looking with me for “the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior; Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us… and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession…? (Titus 2:13-14)
